UK Credit Cards

What is a credit card?

A credit card is card which allows you to make purchases on credit. With a credit card you will receive a monthly statement which can be paid off in part or in full. This is different from debit cards, with which funds are debited instantly from your savings account.

What is the advantage of a credit card over a debit card?
The monthly statement received with a credit card can be paid off in part or in full. Thus with a credit card you can spend any amount up to your credit limit. With a debit card you are restricted to the funds which are available in your bank account at the time
