Some companies offer 100days protection against goods purchased with their card.

Card protection
This can include damage, loss or theft depending on the company.

You can protect your credit card against loss, theft or misuse in several ways:

• memorise your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and note down your card number and issuers details. In the event of loss or theft of your card, you can contact the credit card company with these details and "Stop" the card
• Some companies offer a card registration service for which an annual fee is payable. In the event of loss the company will then sort everything out for you, including providing you with a replacement card
• Some companies offer insurance against loss, theft or misuse of your card
