UK Credit Cards

Which type of card?
Other than the standard card, of the type offered by MasterCard and Visa, there are four other types of card you may be interested in

Platinum and Gold cards
These are usually only available for people with higher levels of income, and often have benefits attached to them.

Charity and Affinity Cards
These are the same as standard cards, however a small percentage of what you spend is donated to charity

Loyalty Cards
These are the same as standard cards which offer incentives such as cash bonuses, Air Miles, points etc.

Store Cards
These cards usually offer discounts on purchases from a single store, or a network of shops

Charge Cards
These offer a higher monthly spending limit than standard cards, however the full balance must be paid of each month
